Arena-Auditorium Renovations

Reseating Information

The University of Wyoming is currently in the planning and fundraising stages of renovating the Arena-Auditorium to help transform it into a premier facility for Cowboy and Cowgirl basketball. Centered around the student-athletes, the project will cost an estimated $30 million and will include two phases.

Phase 1 - $10 million: The first phase will be an interior renovation of UW's practice and competition facilities. Enhancements will be made to give basketball two state-of-the-art locker rooms, a cutting edge sports medicine area, an expanded weight training area and rooms for film and meetings. The playing floor will also be reconfigured to accommodate two simultaneous practice sessions. The improvements will also benefit the fan experience with new seats closer to the floor, new HD video and ribbon boards and a new donor area with priority seating.

Phase 2 - $20 million: The second phase of the Arena-Auditorium renovation will focus on the exterior of the building. The project will make improvements to the concourse area and build a Hall of Fame, while the exterior will receive a facelift as well.
