The most intimate and exciting atmosphere in Wyoming Athletics, the UniWyo Federal Credit Union Sports Complex is one of the few facilities in the nation dedicated specifically to volleyball and wrestling. The venue opened in the fall of 1984 and is located between the Arena-Auditorium and War Memorial Fieldhouse.
With a seating capacity of 1,200, the UniWyo gives Cowgirl volleyball and Cowboy wrestling a distinct home-gym advantage. Wyoming fans make the building one of the loudest and most difficult places for opponents in the country. Recent upgrades include improved fan seating and the addition of a large matrix scoreboard in 2007. Locker rooms for each sport were renovated the previous year to include a sauna for wrestling and a team lounge for volleyball. Both locker rooms are directly connected to the UniWyo. The climate-controlled Everett Lantz Wrestling Room is also adjacent to the wrestling locker room and contains two full-size mats, along with weight-training and cardio-training equipment. The room is named after long-time UW head coach Everett Lantz.
The facility was previously known as the Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, but a $1 million gift from UniWyo Federal Credit Union in June of 2005 changed the name to the UniWyo Sports Complex. UniWyo has been a marquee sponsor of UW's Olympic sports for a number of years.
