Wyoming Tennis Completes Second Day at Jon Messick Invite

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Oct. 7, 2017) – The Wyoming tennis team continued play on Saturday morning at the Jon Messick Invite in Ft. Collins.
 
The doubles team of Milka Genkova and Magdalena Stencel had a solid win over Anastasia Bondarenko and Aria Chemodanova of South Dakota, 6-0, but Harsha Challa and Ana Tkachenko fell to Rafa Mora and Tristen Bryant-Otake of Northern Colorado, 6-4.
 
It was mixed results in singles action as well. Tkachenko defeated Bryan-Otake in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4, while Genkova beat Maty Cancini of Iowa State, 6-3, 6-4. Stencel dropped her match in three sets, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2, against Regina Espindola of Iowa State. Challa came up short, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) against Alyssa Grijalva of Colorado State.
 
Play will conclude tomorrow morning beginning at 9 a.m. MT at the University Tennis Complex in Fort Collins.
