Ask the Cowboys: Cole Bundy

Leading up to the start of Wyoming men’s golf’s 2017 spring season, our ‘Ask the Cowboys’ series will include features on each member of the team. The seventh installment is an interview with sophomore Cole Bundy, a native of Fort Collins, Colo.

Hats or visors?
I wore a visor one time and my head got so sunburned I peeled and looked like I had dandruff… so hats.

Do you have any superstitions?
I fix a lot of ball marks on the green, because I feel like it gives me good karma when I am putting.

What TV show are you currently binge watching on Netflix?
Currently, nothing. But that is because it only took me two days to watch the whole OJ Simpson v. The People series.

What is your favorite sports team?
Dallas Cowboys, oh wait, wrong Cowboys. They are my least favorite. My favorite team is the Wyoming Cowboys.

If you were to play any other sport what would be?
I am currently in week 4 of a 12 week vertical jump training program and once that is done I would say I am going to be pretty formidable on the basketball court.

What is your favorite golf moment?
I got a hole-in-one the second day I got to Laramie my freshman year in a Cowboy Joe tournament. I would say that it was the best possible start to my college golf career.

What is your favorite music genre?
If G-Eazy was a genre I would go with that.

What is a strange habit you have?
I hate the taste of coffee, so I chug it just to get the benefits of the caffeine.

What is one of your hobbies?
During the winter I love to snowboard, and during the summer I love to learn new tricks for the snowboard on my wakeboard.

What is at the top of your bucket list?
I want to go to the top of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Who is the funniest person on the team?
Everyone on our team has a great sense of humor, but I’ve got to go with Dan. He is also my roommate and it is rare for us to go 15 minutes without laughing at something each other says.

Who is your celebrity crush?
Margot Robbie

Our ‘Ask the Cowboys’ series will conclude tomorrow with an interview with senior Ryan Wallen.
