Cowboy Joe Club Auction Raises Over $400,000 Toward Student-Athlete Scholarships

The 30th Annual Cowboy Joe Club Auction sponsored by Infinity Power and Controls, held on September 30 at Little America Hotel & Resort in Cheyenne raised $413,000 for Wyoming Athletics.

Nearly 400 Wyoming Cowboy and Cowgirl student-athlete scholarships will benefit directly from the revenue raised from this event. Proceeds are matched by the State of Wyoming in their commitment to Wyoming Athletics.

“The amount of support we receive from our fans and donors on this night is just remarkable,” said Bruce Pivic, Cowboy Joe Club President & Title Sponsor.  “This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Cowboy Joe Club and we are able to support so many student-athlete scholarships and resources from this one event. The support is truly statewide and beyond.”

The annual auction, historically the Club's single-most successful fundraising event of the year, was sold out once again. The evening included a silent auction, dinner and live auction with over 30 items. Kevin McKinney, Sr. Associate Athletic Director served as emcee, while Lex Madden served as auctioneer during the live auction. A highlight of the evening included former Cowboy Basketball player Josh Adams addressing the crowd during the event.

A formal presentation will take place at the Cowboy Football game versus Boise State on October 29.

The 31st Annual Cowboy Joe Auction is set for fall 2017 in Cheyenne, WY and the date will be announced next spring.
