After an emotional win over Missouri Valley Conference power Northern Iowa on Saturday, the Pokes continue their homestand with Colorado Christian on Monday evening in the Arena-Auditorium. The game is set for a 7 p.m. start in the first meeting between the two schools.

A Look at the Matchup
The Cowboys head into Monday night’s game with a 5-2 overall record and have won two-straight. The Pokes hit 16 three pointers on Saturday afternoon, as it was the third-most in school history. Wyoming leads the Mountain West and ranks No. 32 in the nation in three pointers per game at 9.6. UW is shooting 43 percent from the field and 34 percent from behind the arc. The Cowboys are holding opponents to 39 percent from the field and 30 percent from behind the arc, a number that ranks fourth in the MW and No. 56 in the nation.
Colorado Christian is 5-3 on the season and 2-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. CCU has won two-straight games after losing three of four contests. The Cougars are shooting an impressive 51 percent from the field, and 44 percent from behind the three point line. The Cougars let opponents shoot 48 percent from the field and 34 percent from behind the arc. CCU is solid from the charity stripe this season shooting 77 percent.

Sophomore guard Justin James leads the Cowboys in scoring this season at 16.3 points per game ranking seventh in the MW. Senior guard Jason McManamen is adding 15.4 points per game after scoring 21 points against UNI connecting on six three pointers. He ranks No. 30 in the nation in minutes played per game at 35:51. Junior forward Alan Herndon is averaging 10.4 points per game and 1.9 blocks per night. He ranks third in the MW and No. 66 in the country in blocks per game. Junior forward Hayden Dalton adds 9.7 points per game and a team-high 6.7 rebounds.
Colorado Christian is led in scoring by senior guard Dimitri Saliba. He averages 19.5 points per game, which ranks third in the RMAC. He also grabs 6.4 rebounds per game and dishes out 5.3 assists per game. Fellow senior Ty McGee is adding 18.6 points per game to go along with a team-high 6.9 rebounds. Guard Brett Brady is averaging 14.8 points per game to round out CCU players averaging double-figures.
About the Series
Monday evening’s matchup marks the first meeting between the two schools. The Cowboys are 1-0 this season against the RMAC downing Western State in the season opener.
