The Cowboys hit the road this week for a pair of games. UW opens with San Jose State on Wednesday evening inside the Event Center in San Jose, Calif. for an 8 p.m. MT start.

A Look at the Matchup
The Cowboys (12-6, 2-3 MW) are coming off an 89-74 loss to Nevada on Saturday. The Pokes head to California leading the MW and ranking fourth in the nation in defensive rebounds per game at 30.7. The Pokes lead the MW and rank No. 20 in the nation in field goal percentage defense at 39.1. The Cowboys also rank second in the MW and No. 24 in the country in three point percentage defense at 30.2. Offensively, the Cowboys are shooting 41.9 percent from the field and 32.2 percent from behind the arc. UW is one of the top free throw shooting teams in the conference. UW is shooting 75 percent from the line for second in the league and No. 35 in the nation.
The Spartans head into Wednesday with a 9-7 overall record and a 2-3 mark in MW play. San Jose State picked up a big road win on Saturday defeating Air Force by a score of 89-85. The Spartans are shooting 44 percent from the field for seventh in the MW. SJSU is shooting 35 percent from behind the arc for fifth in the league. Defensively, teams are shooting 45 percent from the field against SJSU and 35 percent from behind the three point line.

The Cowboys are led in scoring by sophomore guard Justin James. He averages 15.3 points per game on the season. James also adds 4.8 rebounds and leads the team with 17 steals. Junior forward Hayden Dalton is pouring in 13.2 points per game and leads the team and ranks third in the MW in rebounding at 8.4 per game. He ranks second in the league and No .59 in the nation in free throw percentage at 85.6. Senior guard Jason McManamen adds 12.9 points per game. He ranks third in the MW in three pointers made with 43 on the season. Junior forward Alan Herndon adds 10.5 rebounds per game and ranks third in the league and No. 44 in the nation in blocks per game at 2.0. Junior guard Alexander Aka Gorski rounds out Cowboy players in double figures averaging 10.1 per game. He leads UW in scoring in MW games averaging 16.6 points per night.
The Spartans are led in scoring by Brandon Clarke. He adds 17.6 points per game ranking fourth in the league. He also adds 7.3 rebounds per game leading the team and ranking sixth in the conference. He leads the MW in field goal percentage at 60 percent. Ryan Welge adds 11.8 points per game and 5.0 rebounds. Welage is fourth in the conference in three point percentage shooting 41.3 percent. Jalen James is third on the Spartans in scoring at 9.3 per game. He also adds 3.1 assists per game ranking seventh in the conference.
