Day 7 – With Wyoming women’s soccer’s exhibition match just one week away, junior goalkeeper Georgia Rowntree sat down with gowyo.com for a few questions in today’s Cowgirl Close-Ups.

Other than soccer, what is your favorite sport to watch or play?

“Australian Rules Football”

“Parramatta Stadium (Sydney, New South Wales, Australia)”


With the Olympics underway, what is your favorite sport to watch besides soccer?

“Wrestling or gymnastics”


What is your biggest pet peeve?

“Wyoming wrestler Sam Eagan getting crumbs everywhere in my house”


Do you have a special or secret talent?

“I’m a pretty good cook”

Rowntree started in the net in each of her 16 appearances on the year, and finished the 2015 season with a 1.00 goals-against average, the fourth-best mark in Wyoming history. Rowntree’s career goals-against average of 1.07 currently sits second all-time in the Cowgirl record books.
