The Wyoming Football team, coming off consecutive wins in the Mountain West Conference the last two weeks, will again be featured on a nationally-televised game when the Cowboys travel to Reno, Nev., on Saturday, Oct. 22 to face the Nevada Wolf Pack. The Wyoming-Nevada game will be televised on ESPN2 as part of the Mountain West television package. Kick off has been set for 8:30 p.m., Mountain Time (7:30 p.m., Pacific Time) from Nevada’s Mackay Stadium. The announcement was made by ESPN Networks and the Mountain West Conference on Monday.
The Cowboys will enter the Oct. 22 game with a 4-2 overall record and a 2-0 record in the Mountain West. Wyoming has a bye this coming weekend.
Nevada is currently 3-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play. The Wolf Pack will play at San Jose State this coming Saturday, Oct. 15 prior to the hosting the Cowboys on Oct. 22.
Last season, Wyoming defeated Nevada by a score of 28-21 in Laramie. The overall series is tied at 3-3. Wyoming holds a 2-1 advantage in games played in Laramie, and Nevada holds a 2-1 advantage in games played in Reno. The last time the two teams played in Reno the game went to overtime, with the Wolf Pack coming away with a 35-28 victory in the first overtime. Five of the six previous meetings in the series have been decided by a touchdown or less.
