LARAMIE, Wyo. - On Tuesday, Feb. 24, Wyoming fans are invited to attend a meet-and-greet with new Wyoming head football coach Dave Christensen and his entire coaching staff. The event will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn located at 1150 N. Poplar in Casper, Wyo., and will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The event is open to the public. Coaches will be available to meet with and talk to fans. A highlight video of the 2009 Wyoming recruiting class will also be shown at Tuesday night's function.
The event will also kickoff the Cowboy Joe Club's Natrona County Fund Drive for this year. Heavy appetizers and a cash bar will be available. The public is invited to attend.
Natrona County volunteers will be soliciting funds February 24th through March 23rd towards educational and operational costs of UW student-athletes.
"Natrona County is very important to the Wyoming athletic community," Cowboy Joe Club Director and Associate Athletic Director Josh Rebholz said. "In 2008, Natrona County generated $220,000 through 344 members, which finished as the 3rd most successful county in Wyoming. We look to Natrona County again in 2009, to help us reach our goal of providing $3.3 million in UW student-athlete assistance."
The Natrona County Fund Drive will last one month and volunteers will compete for prizes, gift certificates and other exclusive gifts. The fund drive will be once again chaired by Dana Porter.
