Laramie, Wyo. - The Cowboy Joe Club wrapped up its 11th Annual On-line Auction, which helped generate $44,030 towards scholarships and educational resources for Wyoming student-athletes, which is a new record amount raised. The auction was held at WyomingAthletics.com for the entire month of February and featured over 200 items available for sale.
This year's on-line auction items consisted of several unique Wyoming Fan Experiences, such as the Honorary Spring Football Coaching Experience which allows the winner to serve as an honorary football coach during a spring practice, or the Coin-Toss Experience which allows the winner to toss the coin at the beginning of a non-conference football game in 2011. Several golf and vacation get-a-way experiences were also made available to the highest bidder.
Aside from experiences, the on-line auction served as an on-line store for exclusive Cowboy Joe Club and Wyoming gear, and had several pieces of Wyoming and professional sports memorabilia available as well. Fans bid on items like personalized Wyoming Golf Team golf bags, the Border War game football, game-worn helmets, jerseys and gear, in addition to a John Wendling autographed Detroit Lions jersey and an autographed Ubaldo Jimenez Colorado Rockies uniform.
