The University of Wyoming's Cowboy Joe Club, along with the Bank of Commerce and the BPO Elks Club #609, is hosting a reception to kick-off the 2009 Carbon County Membership Drive. The reception will be held on Tuesday, April 7 at 6 p.m. at the BPO Elks #609 Club. The reception is open to the public will feature heavy appetizers and a cash bar.
Joe Legerski, UW Women's Basketball Coach is scheduled to attend and provide an update on the UW Women's basketball program.
The 2009 membership drive will be conducted from April 7 through April 15. During this time, CJC volunteers will be contacting current members to renew for the 2009 year and prospective new members about joining the Cowboy Joe Club. The Cowboy Joe Club uses these donations to fund educational and operational costs of UW student-athletes.
"We are excited to kick-off our membership drive in Carbon County," Cowboy Joe Club Director and Associate Athletic Director Josh Rebholz said. "We conducted the Albany, Laramie and Natrona County fund drives earlier this year and we are on target for another successful year. I encourage the Wyoming fans in Carbon County to help us take the next step towards reaching our goal of $3.3 million in private gifts."
