2006 Wyoming Super Fan Campaign

April 20, 2006

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

Wyoming fans are among the best in the country. While they may be relatively small in number, their support is second to none. Per capita, it's hard to imagine any state in the country draws a higher percentage of its population to home and away games. That's right; Wyoming fans don't just support their team at home....they love to travel! Need proof? Since the inception of the Mountain West Conference, each year Wyoming has finished either first or second (and it's usually first) in tickets sold for the MWC Basketball Championships. Additionally, don't forget that it was Wyoming fans that turned out in such great numbers that a new attendance record was established for the 2004 Las Vegas Bowl.

As for home attendance, this year the Cowgirl basketball team broke single-game attendance records not once....but twice! Additionally, the Cowboy football team averaged roughly four percent of the state's population at each home game.

To thank loyal Poke fans, we are introducing our new Wyoming Super Fan campaign. This program is designed to reward Wyoming fans that purchase full priced or faculty/staff season tickets for football and men & women's basketball. To that end, anyone purchasing season tickets for all three sports will receive a $40 rebate ($33 for UW faculty/staff) from the Wyoming Athletics Department.

Additionally, there's no need to sign up for anything....nor do you need to make a special request in order to receive your rebate. We'll simply send you the money once your account indicates you've purchased season tickets for all three sports.

Just think....a family of four buying full priced season tickets for all three sports will save $160!

Once again, thank you for supporting your Cowboy & Cowgirl teams. Go Pokes!
