LARAMIE, Wyo. -

University of Wyoming Head Athletics Trainer Robb Williams was recently elected the President of the Mountain West Conference Physician and Certified Athletics Trainers Association during their annual meeting in Las Vegas, Nev.

As president, Williams will be leading a group of MWC schools from the perspective of sports medicine for a three year term. The MWC's Physician and Certified Athletics Trainers Association is a collection of all Medical Doctor's and staff certified athletic trainers from all nine MWC institutions. The association tries to bring a standard of care, policy and procedure to help aid the conference in aspects that pertain to sports medicine.

"It is quite an honor to be recognized by your peers like this,"said Williams. "It is reflective of the great staff at UW and the support we get with our athletic training program and the type of care we are able to provide to our student athletes."
