The University of Wyoming athletics department has announced the hiring of Lincoln Mansch as an Assistant Director of Media Relations. He officially began his duties on July 6, 2015.
“We are pleased to have Lincoln Mansch join our media relations staff as a full-time staff member,” said Tim Harkins, UW Associate Athletics Director for Media Relations. “Lincoln served as a graduate intern for us in 2013-14, and he did an outstanding job of serving the needs of the media who cover our programs, the coaching staffs he worked with and our student-athletes. We feel fortunate that we are able to bring him back to fill a vacant position in our office. We know he will do an outstanding job in promoting University of Wyoming Athletics.”
Mansch comes to Wyoming after spending the past year at the George Washington University where he was pursuing his master’s degree in tourism administration and sport management. During that time, he also served as a public relations intern for Tandem Sports and Entertainment Company. He worked closely with the Senior Vice President of Communications gaining experience in several aspects of day-to-day representation of clients.
“I’m excited to be back at the University of Wyoming,” said Mansch. “I enjoyed my previous time here and could not be more honored to begin my career with such a great athletics department and university.”
Prior to that, he spent one year at the University of Wyoming as an athletics media relations graduate assistant. He served as the media liaison for the women’s soccer and men’s golf teams. He has also spent time as a media relations intern at Montana State and Peru State College.
A native a Missoula, Montana, Mansch graduated from Peru State College (Peru, Neb.) in May of 2012 with a degree in sport management and exercise science. He was also a member of the baseball team.
