LARAMIE, Wyo. -
It looks like the surface of Mars, but feels like the Sahara desert.
Here at Tallil Airbase in Iraq, temperatures hit 120 degrees in the shade. The sandy plains stretch out as far as the eye can see. The spiders are the size of fists and can move faster than the average person can jog.
In this scorching desert, Sgt. Troy Phillips couldn't be farther from home.
