LARAMIE, Wyo. -
University of Wyoming sports fans will have an opportunity to relive some of the recent successes of UW Athletics when The Mtn., Mountain West Sports Network, hosts "Wyoming Week" beginning Monday, July 26 and running through Sunday, Aug. 1.
Highlighting the first day of "Wyoming Week" will be the premiere of "A Conversation With UW Athletics Director Tom Burman". That half-hour feature with Burman will first air at 7 p.m., Mountain Time on Monday, July 26. Burman will talk about the state of Cowboy and Cowgirl Athletics, as well as other issues related to college athletics.
Also featured during the week will be replays of several of Wyoming's most memorable football games from the 2009 season. Included in those memorable 2009 games will be Wyoming's 21-point, come-from-behind win at San Diego State and the Pokes' victory over Colorado State in Fort Collins last November that returned the "Bronze Boot" to Laramie and sent the Cowboys on to the New Mexico Bowl.
An interview with Wyoming's own Kenny Sailors, inventor of the jump shot and Most Outstanding Player from the 1943 NCAA Tournament, will be broadcast during the week's coverage. A replay of "A Conversation With UW head men's basketball coach Heath Schroyer" will also be featured throughout the week, as will replays of 2009 Cowboy Basketball victories over Air Force and San Diego State.
