Purpose of the Cowgirl Walk

  • Raise Awareness of girls and women in sports
  • Raise support to enhance participation opportunities of girls and women in sports
  • Support the endeavors of SportsWomen of Wyoming
  • Your participation will allow girls and women across the State of Wyoming to excel on the field, court, in the pool, on the track, and in the classroom!

    Why we need you

    SportsWomen of Wyoming (SWOW) is a non-profit, community based program whose mission is to recognize and publicly honor outstanding female athletes in Wyoming, encourage lifelong participation and enjoyment in girls' and women's sports and to increase awareness among parents and educators of the academic, social, physical and psychological importance of sports for girls and women.

    Day of Cowgirl Walk - Saturday, October 27, 2007

  • 8:30 - 9:00 amCheck-in/donation drop-off at Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex
  • 9:00 - 9:15 amWelcome/Announcements
  • 9:15 - 10:00 amWalk begins at the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex and will conclude at Pepsi's Cowboy Tailgate Park
  • 10:00 - 11:00 amLunch (provided for walkers) and drawings for special prizes. All walkers present are eligible for drawing
  • 12:00Cowboys vs UNLV

    How to Register
    1.Return the registration form to your team captain. They will provide you with the necessary information
    2.If you are not affiliated with a team, send your registration form to Cowgirl Walk. You will be contacted and we will place you on a team.
    3.Do you want to organize your own team among friends or business associates? Call Cowgirl Walk for more information at 307-766-5236.

    Event Parking
    Parking will be available at the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex as well as on 30th street.
