LARAMIE, Wyo. -
The Cowboy Joe Club, the fundraising organization for University of Wyoming Athletics, wants to remind UW fans that Friday, Sept. 12 is the deadline to RSVP for the 22nd Annual Cowboy Joe Club Auction, presented by IGC Management of Cheyenne, Wyo. This year's auction will be held on Friday, Sept. 26 at the Little America Grand Ballroom in Cheyenne. Only a limited number of spaces are still available.
All Wyoming fans are invited to attend the 22nd Annual Cowboy Joe Club Auction. The auction will feature: a live auction; a silent auction; dinner; and an open bar. The "Voice of the Cowboys", Dave Walsh, will once again serve as emcee. The Madden Brothers of Torrington, Wyo., will again serve as auctioneers for the event. Wyoming Athletics Department staff and coaches will be in attendance, including Joe Glenn, Heath Schroyer, Joe Legerski and Tom Burman.
This year's auction, chaired by 2007 White Hat Award recipient, Harry Kembel, will be sponsored by IGC Management of Cheyenne. Popular items that will be featured for bid include: travel packages; one of a kind experiences; golf packages and equipment; unique art; hunting and fishing packages; Brunton outdoor equipment; appliances, furniture and home improvements; tickets to events; and more than 300 other valuable items.
The Cowboy Joe Club would also like to announce that a new item for 2008 is the donation of a one-year lease on a brand new 2009 Chevy Malibu. That one-year lease is being donated by Laramie GM Auto Center. The 2009 Chevy Malibu was a Motor Trend Car of the Year finalist. To be eligible to win the one-year lease on the 2009 Chevy Malibu, participants may purchase playing card(s) for $100 each. The winning card holder need not be present to win. The drawing for the one-year lease will take place the night of the auction, there is no limit on the number of cards an individual may purchase. A total of 312 cards will be sold, so participants who purchase one card will have a 1/312 chance of winning.
