LARAMIE, Wyo. -
The Cowboy Joe Club, the University of Wyoming's main fundraising arm, announced Friday that the 23rd Annual Cowboy Joe Club Auction, presented by IGC Management, netted $207,000 to be used towards student-athlete scholarships and resources.
More than 600 Wyoming fans from across the region braved severe winter conditions, which caused road closures, and attended this year's auction at the Little America in Cheyenne last Friday evening, Oct. 9. This year's auction, chaired by 2007 White Hat Award recipient - Harry Kembel, was sponsored by IGC Management of Cheyenne and Laramie GM Auto Center of Laramie.
The next major special event for the Cowboy Joe Club is the Annual Online Auction, to be held the entire month of February 2010 at www.WyomingAthletics.com. The 24th Annual Cowboy Joe Club auction is tentatively scheduled for September of 2010, in Cheyenne. People wanting to donate an item to either the online auction in February or the live auction in September can do so by contacting the Cowboy Joe Club at 307-766-6242.
