UW Associate Athletic Counselor Chosen for Committee

January 11, 1999

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

University of Wyoming Associate Athletic Counselor Jeffrey Meyer has been chosen to participate on the NCAA Foundation Leadership Conference Selection Committee.

The committee selects student-athletes across the country to participate in the 1999 Foundation Leadership Conference "Todays Student-Athletes, Tomorrows Leaders", which will be held May 31-June 4 at Disneys Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The mission of the conference is, through challenging and thought-provoking dialogue and activities, to prepare a diverse group of student-athletes to take an active leadership role on their campuses and in their communities.

The University of Wyoming has had several student-athletes participate in the conference, including a panelist at the Life Skills Conference. Former UW soccer player Jennifer Millard was a conference participant in 1997 and a Life Skills Conference panelist in 1998. Former Wyoming football player Julian Hooker and volleyball player Anne Stohrer participated in the NCAA Foundation Leadership Conference last year.
