LARAMIE, Wyo. -
The University of Wyoming Cowboy Joe Club announced today that their Holiday Online Membership Drive, which ran between December 17, 2003 and January 17, 2004, has exceeded expectations.
The membership drive attracted 27 new members from all over the United States including Iowa, Colorado, Nevada, Texas, Nebraska, California, South Carolina, Arizona, Florida, and Wyoming. Over $4,500 was raised during the 30-day membership drive to support University of Wyoming student-athlete scholarships. This broke the 2003 record of 17 members and $2,500.
Kyle Treick of Lone Tree, Colorado, won the grand prize, a trip with the Wyoming football team when it travels to play the University of New Mexico Lobos during the 2004 season.
"We want to thank everyone who participated in the membership drive," said John Stark, Associate Athletic Director for Development. "It's great to see the support from all over the country. We also want to congratulate Kyle for being the grand prize winner."
