Cowboy Joe Club Introduces Program For Wyoming Fans in Colorado

Sept. 18, 2003

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

The Cowboy Joe Club would like to invite all Wyoming alumni living in Colorado to participate in the unveiling of a new program, "Cowboys in Colorado."

The purpose of "Cowboys in Colorado" is to get UW alumni, friends and supporters in Colorado more involved with Wyoming Athletics and the Cowboy Joe Club. There is no cost to join this program, the club just asks for your names and e-mail addresses so they can keep you posted on UW activities and events in Colorado.

Upcoming events in Colorado include a Joe Glenn Luncheon (Oct. 2), "Watch the Pokes" parties, pre-game parties prior to the Denver & CSU basketball games and Mountain West Conference Basketball Tournament.

It's easy to sign up, just send your name and email address to cowboyjoe@uwyo.edu.

According to John D. Stark, Associate Athletics Director for Development, the Cowboy Joe Club is very excited about the new program. "I think this new program will give the UW faithful a better chance to hear about activities going on in Colorado and hopefully bring more of them back to Laramie to support the Cowboys and Cowgirls."

The "Cowboys in Colorado" program will be launched in conjunction with the Cowboy Joe Pre-game Party at the Wyoming vs. Air Force football game on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 9-11:30 a.m. at Tailgate Park east of Falcon Stadium. Go to lot three (3), space sixteen (16) and look for the brown and gold Wyoming flag.

The cost of the pre-game reception is $10.00 per person, which includes a BBQ lunch, lemonade and a pom-pom. A cash bar will be available. In addition, there will be Wyoming merchandise available for sale during the tailgate party.
