Kolton Donovan comes to Wyoming as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining. He has graduated from Southern Utah University where he was a double major in exercise science and psychology. Donovan was the starting long snapper at Southern Utah the last two seasons of 2015 and '16. He was also the starting long snapper in his freshman season of 2012 before serving an LDS mission in San Antonio, Texas. Donovan was part of a 2015 SUU team that posted an 8-4 record and earned a berth in the FCS Playoffs. He earned High School All-America and All-State honors as a long snapper at Pine View High School in Washington, Utah. Donovan was ranked as the No. 4 best long snapper in the country as a high school senior.
The son of Elise and Kevin Donovan. His father, Kevin, played baseball at SUU. Kolton Donovan played his prep football for head coach Ray Hosner at Pine View High School.
