The Wyoming Cowboys Continue their six-game homestand welcoming the Montana Griz to the Arena-Auditorium on Saturday. It is the second matchup of the two teams this season after the Pokes pulled out a 73-72 win in Missoula, Mont. on Nov. 14. Game time is set for 4 p.m.

A Look at the Matchup
The Cowboys head into the weekend with 6-2 record and have won three-straight contests. The Cowboys defense has been great during the winning streak. UW heads into the game with the Griz leading the MW and ranking No. 26 in the nation in field goal percentage defense holding teams to 37.6 percent from the field. The Cowboys rank second in the conference and No. 33 in the country holding the opposition to 28.7 percent from the three point line. Offensively, the Pokes are shooting 42 percent from the field and 33 percent from the three-point line. UW leads the MW and ranks No. 38 nationally in three point makes per game at 9.4.
The Griz head to Laramie with a 3-6 overall record and have won two-straight contests. Montana defeated Milwaukee (75-59) and San Jose State (81-62) this week in Missoula. The Griz are shooting 44 percent from the field and 35 percent from the three point line. Montana is allowing the opposition to shoot 45 percent from the field and 34 percent from behind the three point line. The Griz have been solid from the free throw line shooting 77 percent on the season.
Each Team’s Leaders
The Cowboys are led in scoring by sophomore guard Justin James. He is averaging 15.4 points per game on the season. James is shooting 48 percent from the field and adds 3.9 rebounds per game. Senior guard Jason McManamen is pouring in 14.8 points per game. He leads the conference and ranks No. 49 in the nation in minutes per game at 35:07. He ranks fourth in the MW in three-pointers per game at 2.6. Junior forward Alan Herndon is adding 11.0 points per game and 6.3 rebounds. He ranks third in the MW and No. 59 in the country in blocked shots per game at 1.88. Junior forward Hayden Dalton leads the team in rebounding at 7.0 per game. He also adds 9.3 points per night.
The Griz are led in scoring by guard Ahmaad Rorie, as he is averaging 14.4 points per game. Rorie is shooting 40 percent from behind the arc and is second on the team in assists at 3.0 per game. Guard Sayeed Pridgett is adding 10.2 points per game, as he is shooting 57 percent from the field. Forward Fabijan Krslovic leads the Griz in rebounding at 9.0 per game.
About the Series
The Cowboys lead the all-time series 22-12 and are 12-3 in Laramie. The Cowboys won the meeting earlier this season in Missoula, 73-72. It is the first meeting between the schools in Laramie since 2006.
The Cowboys host Cornell on Dec. 17 in the Arena-Auditorium.
