UW Divers Complete Day Two Of NCAA Zone "E" Championships

Laramie, Wyo. - Six University of Wyoming diverscompeted at day two of the 2004 NCAA Zone "E" DivingChampionships, Thursday in Oklahoma City, Okla. The meet serves as aqualifying tournament for the 2004 NCAA Diving Championships.

The men competed on the one meter board Friday, junior Adam Millerqualified for the finals with his score of 238.90 in the trial round.Miller finished the day in 16th place with a total score of 487.10.Freshman John Lynch placed 24th with a score of 224.80, while fellowfreshman Kevin Bretting placed 25th with 217.55 points.

Freshman Saara Haapanen was the Cowgirls' top diver for the secondstraight day. She placed 22nd in three meter competition with a scoreof 225.35. Freshman Emily Keefer finished 26th with a total score of212.25 and senior Shea Boyle summed up 190.90 points for 29th place.

The NCAA Zone "E" Championships concludes with the men's andwomen's platform competition on Saturday, March 13th in OklahomaCity.
