The University of Wyoming diving teams wrapped up the second day of the Texas Diving Invite on Friday afternoon. The Cowboys competed on the 3-meter springboard with the Cowgirls competing on the 1-meter springboard.
"I thought that the field was very tough once again and our kids handled it really well," UW diving coach Chelsea Popplewell said. "The platform event tomorrow is really anybody's game and we are hoping for some good things."
Freshman Austin Rettinghouse led the Cowboys finishing ninth in the 3-meter springboard at 298.15. Fellow freshman Ryan Russi finished 11th with a tally of 292.10. Sophomore Jacob Rehmeier rounded out the Cowboys finishing 13th with a tally of 272.85.
Sophomore Keely Bishop led the Cowgirls finishing ninth in the 1-meter springboard at 242.90. Junior Kari Campbell followed in 10th with a mark of 241.85. Senior Holly Heussner finished 19th with a score of 202.35. Sophomore Lauren Puglisi placed 24th at 190.90.
The Texas Diving Invite wraps up tomorrow with the platform event.
