The Wyoming swimming and diving teams will visit the desert on Saturday for the final nonconference dual of the season against the Arizona State Sun Devils. The dual will be held at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center, which is regarded as one of the nation's best outdoor swimming and diving facilities and is set to begin at 12 p.m.

It will mark the first time UW has competed against Arizona State since 2005. The Sun Devils got the best of Wyoming then by winning against both the men and women. The Pokes fell by a score of 152-89, while the Cowgirls lost 175-66.

UW last competed against the Denver Pioneers on Saturday. Senior Kari Campbell and sophomore Maria Harutjunjan swept the Mountain West Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors for their performances at DU. Campbell not only won both the 1 and 3-meter diving competitions, but each score was a season-best. She had a 286.80 on the 1-meter and the fourth-best score in the MW on the 3-meter with 307.73. Harutjunjan recorded top-two finishes in the breaststroke events against Denver. She won the 100 breast with a time of 1:03.16 and placed second in the 200 breast. She was also a part of the winning 400 medley relay team over the weekend.

Junior Jacob Rehmeier claimed victory in the 1 and 3-meter diving competitions for the Pokes. He helped guide UW by recording a score of 302.03 and 288.68 in the 1 and 3-meter events, respectively. Junior Gabe Rooker had one of his best times in the 200 breast with a 2:00.99, while senior Ryan Nelson brought home the victory in the 200 fly with a final mark of 1:51.14.
