What do you love the most about swimming?
I love competing, the people I meet through the sport and the feeling of having months of hard training pay off at the end of a good race.

Has swimming always been your best sport?
Not always, I was absolutely terrible when I started swimming but the longer I stayed with it the better I got. In high school I played volleyball for 2 years then quit and began swimming year round.

What made UW the best fit for you?
The team atmosphere for sure, we're a really close team. On my recruiting trip here I felt like I fit in really well and the team has become my second family.

What is your favorite race?
That's a tough one between the 100 back and 50 free. The 100 back is really fun because I love kicking underwater and I love the 50 free because it's such a fast race where everything has to be perfect since there is so little room for error. It's really unpredictable and anyone's race.

You could easily be considered the best swimmer in Cowgirl history, what does that mean to you?
It's an honor for sure. It just shows that I have a lot of people to thank for my success and without the support from my teammates, my coaches, friends, and family I wouldn't be where I am today.

What has been your most memorable race? Why?
I think I will always remember my 100 freestyle leading off the 400 free relay against UNLV in Corbett my junior year. It was our first meet after Christmas training and I was so excited to be back to racing that day I took off during the race and broke the pool record even though the race felt so controlled and easy.

If you could be any cartoon character; who would you be?
Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon because he's stubborn, sarcastic and friendly all at the same time which is kind of like me.

What was one thing you wanted to be as a little kid?
I wanted to be the Zamboni driver at my local ice skating rink ha!

What is your favorite meal?
I love food so I feel like I don't have a favorite. But I do always look forward to my mom's Christmas prime rib dinner. Although, I could eat Qdoba chips and queso almost every day.

If you just won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would buy?
I think I would buy a really nice car. I don't know what kind, but something really sleek and classy.

If you could have any exotic animal as a pet, what would you choose?
I would like to have a koala.

What are your plans after you graduate?
I'd like to eventually attend grad school, but first I would like to get an internship at an international NGO. I would like to be in something humanitarian. I've also considered the Peace Corps.
