LARAMIE, Wyo. -
University of Wyoming senior swimmer Brandon Fischer will make his first appearance at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, on Thursday in Seattle, Wash. Fischer will be racing at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center. He will swim the 100 and 200 breaststrokes as well as the 200 individual medley.
"When I saw the final cut to the meet I was relieved that (Brandon) made it in," Wyoming head coach Tom Johnson said. "I know with Brandon having his conference championships so early in February that he was able to have a great training period before racing again this week."
Fischer, a native of Livermore, Calif., will begin competition at the NCAA Championships on Thursday, with the 200 individual medley. He has the 57th-fastest 200 IM time in the country of 1:47.91.
