Oct. 3, 2013

The University of Wyoming swimming and diving teams will begin its 2013-14 campaign with the annual Brown and Gold Dual on Friday, Oct. 4 beginning at 5 p.m. in the Corbett Pool. The dual will feature the Cowboys and Cowgirls split into co-ed teams to compete against one another. The intrasquad dual is free and open to the public.

"We are looking forward to competing for the first time this season because this has always been a spirited event," Wyoming head coach Tom Johnson said. "It is a great way to see where we are at and find some things we need to work on and go from there."

A look at the Cowgirls: The Cowgirls return 10 All-Mountain West performers and two All-MW relay teams. Wyoming's 11 All-MW honorees a season ago, were the second-most in school history. Junior Adam Kalms is the Cowboys' most decorated returner, as he won three conference titles (200 Individual medley, 100 and 200 Freestyle) and earned Honorable Mention All-America honors after a strong finish to the NCAA Championships. The Cowboys posted an impressive 8-1 overall dual record, including an eight dual winning streak to open the season.
