COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -
"Both Allie and Kyle had great weekends," Wyoming diving coach Pat Bukowski said. "For them to come out strong after a very intense week of workouts is very encouraging."
Smith, who hails from Sandy, Utah, swept the springboard events in Wyoming's victory verses Denver (193-104) on Saturday. The senior set a Corbett Pool record with a score of 329.70 on the 3-meter springboard, while tallying a mark of 296.03 to pace the field on the 1-meter springboard. Smith also helped the Cowgirls to a Mountain West win over New Mexico (133.5-104.5) on Friday. She tied for first on the 3-meter springboard with a score of 301.50 and finished second in the 1-meter springboard with 301.73 points.
"Allie's performances were excellent on the weekend. For her to come out and perform very well on back-to-back days is great to see," Bukowski added.
Bogner, from Centennial, Colo., won the 1-meter springboard event in Wyoming's dual meet with Denver on Saturday, posting a score of 327.75 to pace the field in the event. The senior also turned in a second-place finish in the 3-meter springboard with a mark of 331.73.
"Kyle had a great event, diving very consistently, and in order for him to perform like we want him to this season, he needs to keep up that consistency," Bukowski added.
MWC swimmers of the week were Air Force men's swimmer Benjamin Gunn and San Diego State's Katelyn Weddle.
