For the third time this season University of Wyoming diver Stephanie Ortiz was named Mountain West Conference diver of the week on the women's side. Sophomore Kyle Bogner earned men's MWC co-diver of the week after his performances last weekend against TCU.
Ortiz, a product of Colorado Springs, Colo., broke a school record for the second straight week by scoring 313.73 on the 3-meter springboard. The junior also won the 1-meter title against the Horned Frogs with a six-dive total of 292.35.
Bogner, a sophomore from Centennial, Colo., had a personal-best performance last week against TCU. He scored 325.50 to win the 1-meter springboard, and followed with a fifth-place 249.90 on the 3-meter board.
UNLV sophomore Calan Eldridge earned men's swimmer of the week honors and junior teammate Vincent English was named men's co-diver of the week. Utah freshman Whitney Lopus was named women's swimmer of the week.
