The Wyoming 4-by-100-meter relay team was 25th, hitting a mark of 41.96 seconds. In the 110-meter hurdles, junior Brandon Douglass earned a season-best time along with a top-20 finish. Douglass was 19th in a loaded field with a time of 14.60 seconds. Teammate Michael Tasker, a junior, was 40th with a time of 15.32.

"Brandon ran a nice race in the hurdles," Yentes said.

Junior Travis Gunderson was 54th in the 100-meter dash (11.03) while in the high jump, junior Tyler Skinner was 12th, crossing the bar at 6-6 ¾.

The student-athletes competed in front of some of the largest crowds they will see all season.

"It was good to get a little taste of what track and field is like and some exposure for the kids," Yentes said. "They should feel a little bit more at ease when the big meets come rolling in."

Action wraps up Saturday in the Texas Relays, while a large contingent of Wyoming tracksters will compete in the Fum McGraw Quad in Fort Collins, Colo., on Saturday.
