LARAMIE, Wyo. -
Youth track and field competitors will have a chance to learn from some of the best this summer, as the University of Wyoming track and field program will host three day camps in the month of August.
UW assistant coaches Shaun Meinecke and Quincy Howe will conduct a sprints/hurdles camp on Saturday, Aug. 2 for $75, while a long jump/triple jump session will be hosted on the morning of Saturday, Aug. 9 and a high jump session that afternoon. Participants can register for either of Aug. 9's sessions for $50 or both for $75. Each camp is open to all boys and girls ages 12-18 and will be hosted at the Louis S. Madrid Sports Complex. Meinecke helped Wyoming to a banner year in 2013-14, as his student-athletes earned a total of 14 All-Mountain West honors and five MW titles. Howe, one of the most accomplished Cowboy jumpers in school history, returned to the UW coaching staff this spring.
The registration form can be found in the link above. For more information contact Meinecke at 307-766-5364 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
