The University of Wyoming crosscountry teams took third on the women's side and fourth on the men'sside at the Rocky Mountain Shootout, held in Boulder, Colo., today.
Leading the way for the women was Amy Hill, who finished with a time of23:02. That time was also good for 23rd-place overall. Hill wasfollowed by freshman Jennifer Vessa and Kristy Murff.
For the men,senior Greg Schabron was the top runner with a 16th-place finish in26:15. Schabron was trailed by Chris Jons and Cody Brown.
The Cowboys were once again without top runner Joe Hall, who has aninjured foot. The University of Colorado, who hosted the meet, won boththe men's and women's side.

?Overall, I was real pleased with the women,? said Larry Judge,University of Wyoming head cross country and track and field coach. ?Weran much better than we did last week. Our packing space from onethrough four was only 33 seconds, which is excellent.
?Our men had much better intensity this week as well,? said Judge. ?Wedid the best we could with Joe Hall out and some sickness on the team.?
The next meet for Wyoming is Oct. 16 at the Cowboy/Cowgirl Invitationalin Laramie. The meet will take place at Jacoby Golf Course.
