Wyoming Cross Country Runners Compete at BYU Autumn Classic

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

The University of Wyoming mens cross country team placed eighth and the women placed twelfth at the Brigham Young University Autumn Classic.

Joe Hall was the top runner for the men with a fifth-place finish in a field of 138 runners. He ran the 8K course in a time of 24:59. For the women, Amy Hill was once again the leader. Hill ran the 5K course in a time of 19:43 amongst a field of 120 runners.

Following Hall were Chris Lee (25:49), Andy Shellenbarger (26:27), Greg Schabron (26:28), Nathan McLeland (26:43), and Chris Jons (27:49).

After Hill, the Cowgirls came in the order of Galena Ackerman (20:14), Lisa Sims (20:45), Tara LaMay (20:46), and Melissa Greer (20:49).

Brigham Young University won both the mens and womens side. Action took place at East Bay Golf Course in Provo, Utah.
