TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Greg Harrington scored a career-high 22 points andBrandon Kurtz added a career-high 21 as Tulsa defeated Wyoming 96-89 in theWestern Athletic Conference on Sunday.
Wyoming (9-4, 0-2 WAC) trailed 42-35 at the half and fell behind by 19, at59-40, six minutes into the second half.
But that is when Cowboys players such as Bradley Mann caught fire.
Mann, a reserve forward who averages 6.8 points per game, hit six of seven3-pointers and finished with 19 as Wyoming made 12 of 24 treys to stay close toTulsa.
Wyoming went on a 17-5 run to pull within 64-57 with 10:20 left.
But Marcus Hill scored four consecutive points for Tulsa to stop the surgeas the Golden Hurricane managed to maintain an 8-point margin until the finalseconds.
Michael Ruffin added 14 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks for Tulsa. Healso had three steals while holding Ugo Udezue, who averages 17.4 points pergame, to two baskets and eight points. Hill also had 14 points.
Josh Davis scored 18 points for Wyoming while Anthony Blakes had 16 and JohnPettersson 12.
Wyoming, which committed 24 turnovers, was whistled for 28 personal foulsand had three players foul out while Tulsa fouled 24 times and had two playerssit early.
TU hit 27 of 36 free throws while Wyoming made 17 of 28.
Wyoming outrebounded Tulsa 40-39 and shot 45 percent from the field, hitting30 of 66 attempts.
Tulsa shot 50 percent from the field, hitting 32 of 64 shots.
