Wyoming Loses Heartbreaker In OT

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Dwight Boatner hit a layup with 4.3 seconds leftin overtime and Matt Williams had 15 points as Colorado State defeated Wyoming75-74 Saturday night.

Boatner, who had 11 points, forced a turnover to set up the game-winningshot for Colorado State (11-8, 3-3 Mountain West Conference). Williams was11-for-14 from the free throw line in the third consecutive overtime game forthe Rams.

Jay Straight had 26 points and Alex Dunn 12 for Wyoming (9-10, 2-4). TheCowboys had won seven straight regular season meetings, three straight in FortCollins before the loss.

David Rottinghaus put the Cowboys up 74-72 with a pair of free throws with1:36 left in overtime. Michael Morris made it a one-point game and Boatner randown his own missed airball and put in the miss after stripping Straight of theball. David Adams missed a shot for Wyoming as time ran out.

Wyoming gained the upper hand in overtime when Straight hit a 3-pointer andOmoniya Makun's dunk with 2:29 left put the Cowboys up 72-68. Makun wasassessed a technical for hanging on the rim and the Rams tied it on two freethrows by Williams and a layup by Clark.

Wyoming blew a five-point lead with 2:06 left in regulation after baskets byJoe Ries and Straight. Boatner tied the game at 67 with 43 seconds left.Colorado State had a chance to win in regulation, but Morris threw up anairball at the buzzer after Straight turned the ball over.
