LARAMIE, Wyo. - Wyoming scored 11 unanswered points midway through thesecond half to push ahead of Tulsa and win 80-61 on Thursday.
Sophomore center Ugo Udezue scored 25 points and pulled down 8 rebounds forthe Cowboys (13-6, 4-4 WAC). Junior LeDarion Jones added 16 points.
The teams were even throughout the first half, exchanging the lead twice andtying the game four times. Wyoming had a 38-34 lead at the half.
Tulsa (17-6, 5-3 WAC) edged ahead 44-43 with 15:30 remaining, but it was thelast time the Golden Hurricane would lead.
Tulsa was within 56-49 when coach Bill Self was ejected from the game on apair of technical fouls.
Wyoming then finished the game with a 24-12 run, that included two dunks andeight points from Jones.
Brandon Kurtz had 16 points for the Golden Hurricane. Marcus Hill added 13points and Michael Ruffin 7 points.
The win by Wyoming evened the season series at 1-1, as Tulsa had defeated Wyoming 96-89 at Tulsa on Jan. 10.
