LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Keena Young scored 29 points to help Brigham Young beat Wyoming 77-73 Tuesday.
BYU (18-6, 8-2 Mountain West Conference) trailed through the first three-quarters of the game. Midway through the second half, Mike Rose made two 3-pointers toward a 14-4 run that put BYU ahead.
Wyoming (13-11, 4-6) came back within three points but lost at the free throw line. The Cougars outshot the Cowboys 22-16 on free throws.
Wyoming led 34-31 at the half.
After Young, Trent Plaisted scored 13 points and had seven rebounds for BYU. Rose added 12 points and Lee Cummard 10.
