FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) Donta Richardson scored eight of his 27 points in overtime and Marcus Bailey added 13 points as Wyoming survived a scare from Colorado State 72-69 Saturday night.

Richardson was 6-for-6 on free throws and had an off-balance jump shot in overtime that gave Wyoming (16-5, 7-1 Mountain West Conference) the lead for good. Bailey had the other four points in the extra period for the Cowboys, who have won six of seven.

Matt Nelson had 16 points and six rebounds for CSU (9-13, 1-7). Andy Birley had 15 points and Ronnie Clark had 14 as Colorado State lost to Wyoming for the fifth straight time.

Richardson converted two free throws with 14 seconds left in regulation to put Wyoming ahead 59-55. After Jon Rakiecki's 3-pointer for CSU, Wyoming's Jason Straight hit one of two free throws to make it 60-58. Nelson then hit an uncontested layup at the buzzer to send the game into overtime.

Wyoming led 15-8 eight minutes into the game after Richardson hit three 3-pointers, but Colorado State caught the Cowboys at 26-26 on Brian Greene's baseline jumper with 3:21 left.

Wyoming led 32-30 at the half.
