FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Lee Nailon, forced out of the starting lineup witha sprained ankle, came off the bench and scored 21 points in 23 minutes asTexas Christian ended a four-game losing streak by beating Wyoming 102-85Thursday night.
Marquise Gainous had 23 points and Prince Fowler added 14 points, 16assists, eight rebounds and three steals as the Horned Frogs (16-6, 4-5 WAC)avenged a 96-93 loss last month in Laramie, Wyo. The Cowboys (14-7, 5-5) hadwon three straight.
TCU hit 64 percent of its shots, including a season-best 10 of 183-pointers. Five players each hit two bombs; Derale Wilson hit both of his3-point tries as he came off the bench to score 12 points.
The game was close for most of the first half until two baskets by Nailon,one by Fowler and 3-pointer from Ryan Carroll gave the Horned Frogs a 48-35lead with 1:34 left in the first half. TCU poured it on in the second half towin for the first time since beating Air Force on Jan. 21.
Ugo Udezue scored 27 points and LeDarion Jones had 22 for Wyoming. AnthonyBlakes added 15 points, eight assists, seven steals and six rebounds.
The Cowboys tried rallying with 3-pointers, but they hit just 5 of 25 tries.
