LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Mark Bigelow scored 21 points as Brigham Youngoutscored Wyoming 11-3 in the last 2:46 of the game for a 67-53 win Saturday.
Mike Hall added 13 points, and Rafael Araujo 12 points and nine rebounds forBYU (15-7 overall 5-4 Mountain West Conference).
Joe Ries paced Wyoming (9-13, 2-7) with 16 points and 11 rebounds. He wasthe only player to score in double figures for the Cowboys, who shot 37 percent from the floor (22-of-59) to BYU's 51 percent (24-47).
The Cougars, whose seven losses this season have all come on the road,gained a 30-27 lead at the half thanks to 16 points from Bigelow. At one pointin the first half, BYU held a 10-point advantage after a pair of 3-pointers byBigelow, but the Cowboys pulled themselves back into the game with a 10-0 runkeyed by 5 points from Alex Dunn.
BYU went ahead 46-35 at the 12:12 mark of the second half after a 6-0 run.Wyoming battled back to within 56-50 on a 3-pointer by freshman Mikel Watsonwith 3:54 to go.
But the Cowboys would go nearly 3 minutes without a point as BYU pulled awaywith 9 unanswered points to put the game away.
