SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Andrew Bogut had 31 points and 13 rebounds and No. 14Utah extended its winning streak to 17 games with a 71-62 victory over Wyomingon Monday night.
Bogut was 11-of-16 from the field and recorded his 17th double-double inUtah's 25 games. He just missed his career-high of 33 points, set Saturday in awin over Colorado State.
Utah (22-3, 10-0 Mountain West) improved to 14-0 at home this season andtied the 1990-91 Utes for the second-longest streak in school history. Thelongest is 23 straight in 1998-99.
Marc Jackson and Richard Chaney each scored 12 points for the Utes, who useda 13-0 run and held Wyoming (14-9, 6-4) scoreless for a 7-minute stretch topull away midway through the second half.
Utah outrebounded Wyoming 34-21.
Jay Straight led the Cowboys with 16 points, five coming in the final minuteas Wyoming stretched the game with frequent timeouts and fouls. All it did wascut the margin to single digits as the Utes swept the Cowboys this season.
Utah won the first meeting 74-49 last month at Wyoming, but Monday was closeuntil midway through the second half.
Alex Dunn got the Cowboys to 42-40 with 14:41 left in the game, then Utahtook off with 13 straight points. Bogut scored five during the run, including athree-point play, and Jackson atoned for a pass that was too high for evenBogut by hitting a 3-pointer to put Utah up 53-40.
Bogut added two free throws with about 8 minutes remaining and Wyoming nevergot closer than 10 until Straight's 3-pointer with about 20 seconds left madeit 67-60.
The Cowboys were able to stay close through much of the first half Monday byhitting nine of their first 12 shots. The game was tied at 24 when Bogut andJackson combined for a 9-0 run. Bogut scored on a hook shot and layup andJackson hit a 3-pointer and drove through the lane for a left-handed layup thatgave Utah a 33-24 lead.
