LARAMIE, Wyo. - Marcus Bailey led five players in double digits with 15points as Wyoming defeated Air Force 82-70 on Saturday.
Air Force (7-18, 2-9 Mountain West) took a 9-5 lead early, but a 10-2 runput Wyoming (17-7, 8-3) ahead for good. The Cowboys led 37-27 at the half andAir Force came no closer than 50-41 after that.
The victory kept Wyoming within a half-game of conference leader Utah, whichdefeated BYU 82-75.
Wyoming widened the gap to as much as 70-54 on a slam dunk by Ronell Mingowith about five minutes left.
Most of the Falcons' scoring was divided between Joel Gerlach, with 26, andJarvis Croff, with 21. Lamoni Yazzie added 14 points.
In the first half, the closest Air Force came to recovering the lead waswhen Croff hit a layup to draw the Falcons within 18-15. But Nsonwu-Amadi hit alayup to ignite another run by the Cowboys, this one 13-5.
Udezue then hit a pair of layups, including one off a fast break, and ChrisMcMillian sank a 3-pointer to put Wyoming up 27-20.
