LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Brandon Ewing scored 32 points and Brad Jones had 24 to lead Wyoming to a 94-79 victory over Boise State in the season opener for both teams Saturday.

With the Cowboys down 51-50 early in the second half, Ewing went on a tear, scoring 12 unanswered points to start a 15-0 Wyoming run. A basket and free throw by Chris Anderson made it 65-51 with just under 13 minutes left.

Boise State never recovered. A pair of free throws by Coby Karl after a Wyoming bench technical pulled the Broncos within 86-76 with 1:11 left, but that was as close as they would get.

Eric Lane scored 20 points for Boise State, and Matt Nelson finished with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Boise State had its biggest lead of the game, 27-20, when Ewing hit a pair of 3-pointers to start a 13-1 Cowboys run. Ewing tied the score at 27 with a free throw, and hit another pair of free throws to make it 31-28. James Spencer's jumper in the lane made it 33-28 Wyoming.

The Broncos' Reggie Larry tied it up again at 39 in the final minute of the half; the score was tied at 41 at halftime.
