Wyoming Squeaks Out Exhibition Win Over Veteran EA Sports Squad

LARAMIE, Wyo. -

The final exhibition matchup of the season for Wyoming turned into a tight game, with a familiar EA Sports squad taking UW to the wire in a one-point contest. Seniors Marcus Bailey and Uche Nsonwu-Amadi scored 21 and 25 points respectively to lead the Cowboys in a 80-79 win. Nsonwu-Amadi also pulled down ten rebounds for a team high.

Former Cowboy lettermen Brett McFall and Ronell Mingo returned to the AA floor as part of the EA Sports squad. Nick Bradford, formerly of Kansas, Joe Vogel of CSU and Tony Harvey of Utah also played for EA Sports. Vogel scored 22 points in 30 minutes to lead the visiting team. A crowd of 11,116 turned out to watch the exhibition contest.

UW begins their regular season this Saturday, November 23 at home. The 4:00 pm game will match Wyoming with Denver University.

*Nine of 10 players who appeared in the game for Wyoming played double figure minutes vs. EA Sports All-Stars.

*Wyoming had 11,116 fans attend the game vs. EA Sports All-Stars, that makes 19,817 fans in two exhibitions this season. Going back to last year, Wyoming has had 8,000 or more fans in the last 10 consecutive home games. In four of the last six games home games, UW has had over 11,000 fans in attendance.
