BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) -- Brandon Ewing scored 18 points, including 15 in the second half, as Wyoming rallied to defeat Lamar 75-71 Monday night.
Wyoming (2-1) used an 11-0 run late in the second half to take a 67-61 lead with 1:12 left. Ewing scored five points during that stretch. Joseph Taylor capped the run with a steal and dunk.
Taylor came off the bench to score 13 points and grab nine rebounds. Adam Waddell and Brad Jones each scored 12 for Wyoming.
Kenny Dawkins led Lamar (1-2) with a career-high 22 points, including 15 off 3-pointers. He also had six assists. Matthew Barrow added 14 points and Darren Hopkins scored 12.
Lamar led 36-30 at the half and pulled out to a 12-point lead with 18:03 left in the second half at 44-32 before Wyoming used a 14-0 run to get back in the game.
Wyoming shot 74 percent from the field in the second half.
