LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Brandon Ewing scored 21 points and handed out eight assists to help lead Wyoming to a 78-59 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday night.
Ewing converted a three-point play, hit two 3-pointers and dished out two assists as Wyoming (3-2) opened the second half with a 17-9 run to gain its biggest lead of the game at 54-32 with 15:26 remaining.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1-4) answered with a 14-4 run to pull within 67-57 with 5:07 to go, but Wyoming finished the game on an 11-2 run to seal the win.
William Byrd led Arkansas-Pine Bluff with 14 points. Marcelle Goins added 12 points, and Jarvis Gunter pulled down 10 rebounds for the Golden Lions.
A 19-6 Wyoming run, highlighted by five 3-pointers, gave the Cowboys a 33-16 lead with 2:51 to go in the first half. The Golden Lions scored seven of the next 11 points to pull within 37-23 at halftime.
